In so many other games it turns out counterproductive to have modder deliver often wonky workarounds for the games problems while the developer pushes for content expansion to make cash.
Letting urban Games put all its ressources into improvement of the games basic workings / gameplay while the community can focus on the content expansion should be far more rewarding for everyone. (kinda a chore to get single mods together into immersive/fitting collections) Someone just have to convince modder and make it easier to pool mods together in immersive packs.
the content produced by modder in quality already is on par with Urbans work while the sheer number of single units and modpacks is staggering (worked for Train Fever well too).
TBH for the next few patches I would rather see Urban games truly focusing on a progressive gameplay, engine, modding features/usability and gamemode development, while the modder community continues to deliver the vehicles, buildings and maps. Oh, do you have a source or 100% confirmation on nation packs? That would be awesome!! This game is a marvel for the creative mind, which can set for itself new challenges on a blank canvas and finds beauty in efficiency and complexity of transportation networks. ImhO the FreePlay with tons of mods is the core of this game, campaigns and medals are rather an extension to the tutorial, teaching you to handle the deeper complexity you would meet in building complex networks spanning over large maps and covering all the needs instead of just a few objectives. Its quiet stunning what amazing things people make up in free play, and additional with the mods this game (very much like its predecessor) offers a scale and challenge which you never experience by campaigns and achievements alone. Once you done campaigns and achievements (if you even care) just browse a few minutes through the screenshot section and find out what this game is really about. I was wodering whats next? any other campaigns around to download? or nothing released yet?
