Oversees teen volunteer program including recruiting, training, scheduling, and communication. Collaborates with Program Coordinator and Children’s Supervising Librarian. Develops and implements teen programming. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Under the direction of the Library Director the successful candidate will perform a consortium of more than 40 libraries and branches using a shared Polaris/LEAP system. Bernards Township Library is a member of Main, Inc. The budget for materials and programs is generous and is supplemented by funds from The Friends of the Library. The Library is a vibrant and active cultural center in an increasingly diverse community and is much valued by Township residents for its wide range of materials and services. This position is full-time, 35 hours per week, including some evening and weekend hours plus one Sunday per month at the Reference Desk. Bernards Township Library in Basking Ridge, NJ, has an immediate opening for an approachable, animated, and outgoing librarian with a sincere desire to serve the informational and recreational needs of teens.
